Bird Watching Events - January 2026

Are you, or someone you know, an avid bird watcher? This January, we have teamed up with RSPB for the Big Garden Bird Watch, and we are inviting you along to help our feathered friends!

What is Big Garden Birdwatch?

Big Garden Birdwatch is the world’s largest garden wildlife survey. Every year, hundreds of thousands of nature lovers like you take part, helping to build a picture of how garden birds are faring.

Where and when?

Firstly, we have an event on Friday 23rd January between 9am - 12pm that is for adults only. This is for bird watching only - bring your own binoculars and enjoy seeing the birds that live in our area.

For the Big Garden Birdwatch with the RSPB, we are meeting on Saturday 24th January at Hareleeshill Community Garden between 10am-12pm to help count the birds in the garden. Along with us, there are over 369,000 people, businesses and charities signed up. This event is open to everyone of all ages. Full details are on the image below.
