PARTNERSHIPS AND MEMBERSHIPS

Here at Larkhall Community Growers partnerships and memberships are at the heart of what we do.

We are part of Larkhall Plan Partnership which was formed as a result of COVID-19 and we are also members of VASLan and SURF.

See below for more information.

CLIMATE ACTION

We work with partners within the community tackling Climate Change across Lanarkshire. We actively connect, engage and empower our community developing local solutions to reduce our carbon footprint.

LARKHALL COMMUNITY GROWERS - MEMBERSHIP

As you know, we are a charity and rely on funding to keep us going. One of the things that helps with funding is when we can demonstrate that people are engaging with us, through many ways, and one way is through a membership.

Our aims and objectives are to support our community by helping them with family activities, reduce budgets by teaching people how to grow fruit and vegetables, and understanding the environmental impact that this has.

Membership is entirely free - you will receive updates on activities and opportunities to support and attend events each year.

If you're interesting in helping us out in this way, you can complete our application form here.

HARELEESHILL COMMUNITY HUB

Hareleeshill Community Hub is a community-led facility and safe space located at 21 Howard Street, Larkhall. It was established to provide much-needed hall space and support services for the local community.

Larkhall Community Growers works in partnership with the Hub to improve health and wellbeing, reduce social isolation, and provide the relief of poverty through various peer support groups and practical services.

LARKHALL PLAN PARTNERSHIP

Larkhall Plan Partnership is a collaboration of charities, community groups, volunteers and the public sector, bringing new opportunities to our town and putting community voices at the heart of decision making.

Larkhall Plan Partnership undertook a survey in 2025, to find out what Larkhall residents think about their town and local services. You can find the survey results here.

VASLAN

Voluntary Action South Lanarkshire (VASLan) are South Lanarkshire’s Third Sector Interface (TSI). Their role is to support local third sector organisations, community groups and social enterprises by being a source of knowledge, connecting partners, being a voice for the sector and supporting organisations to build capacity.

Larkhall Community Growers work with VASLan to support volunteers and improve connections within the community.

SURF - SCOTLANDS REGENERATION FORUM

We are a proud member of SURF - Scotland's Regeneration Forum. They aim to improve lives and give opportunities to the residents in Scotland's disadvantaged communities. SURF was established in 1992, and we joined as members in 2020 where our efforts during COVID-19 were awarded the Special Recognition Award. 'COVID-19 Rainbows' project delivered hot meals to people within Larkhall, delivered prescriptions and food vouchers to those in need, among other things. We see and appreciate what SURF are doing and have stayed a member since 2020.
