PROJECTS
Take a stroll through our growing garden of projects:
At Larkhall Community Growers, we are dedicated to using our garden to empower our community. Within our garden we offer training courses for all ages focussing on garden activities. We are always striving to make a difference, and invite you to learn more and lend your support.
We are currently looking for Garden Volunteers, find out more and apply through our contact page.
Our goal is to promote great opportunities for those in need and provide resources to help empower those in our community. Our outdoor classroom is located in the Children's Wildlife Garden which is a dedicated space where children can come to learn more about nature and the environment, sowing the seeds for future climate action projects.
This space must be booked in advance.
Our Larkhall is a community engagement exercise aimed to gather the views of local people on life within the villages of Larkhall, Netherburn, Ashgill and Dalserf.
The consultation spanned 8 weeks and resulted in a over 1800 responses.
The priorities from the survey identify the things that are most important to the community. More information can be found here
BEELINE TO NATURE
South Lanarkshire’s ‘Bee Line to Nature’ is designed to better connect people with nature and to realise the benefits of that connection. We are engaging with the unengaged within communities in nature-based programmes focussing on protecting and enhancing green and natural spaces that matter to them and will engender a change in people’s behaviours towards the environment by creating a deeper connection with nature.
The project is led by four voluntary sector anchor organisations, LCG, Grow 73, Healthy and Active EK & CCI.
