Open Day 2nd June 2018
A lovely warm day for the Open Day this year. Thanks to all who came along. Still some plants left if anyone wants to come along Tuesday or Thursday this week.
A new pre-school outdoor play group in the Community Garden. Stories, songs, crafts and play in the Wildlife Garden. Some photographs from our latest session. We are on the 2nd Monday of every month. Come and join us at 1.45 – 2.30.
What we got up to in 2016.
Here we have pictures from the start of the year, right through until the end of the summer season. General maintenance around the gardens, what went on in our polytunnels. The beautiful hanging baskets that were produced. We had afternoon tea in the gardens, all that work and no play would not be right. Garden art projects. Fruit tree training. We also learned how to plant and water seeds. Some of our volunteers built new compost bins. We had lots of visits from schools, nurseries and had some young volunteers join us. As well as this we had a cookery course. We finished all this off with a beautiful Christmas lunch in the coalyard.
